New Wheels for my 303
New Wheels for my 303
I want to replace the original steel wheels on my 303. Does anyone know what wheels will fit the 303 without modification ? Hopefully, wheels for some other high use vehicle will also fit the Volvo 303.
Thanks
Paul

sorry...
Nothing that I nor anyone I know has found anything that fits the 8 lug pattern. Nothing remotely easy to find anyway.
The rock buggy guys have exhaustive research into this. There are lots of custom routes you can go, and probably will have to if you want different wheels (I'm wondering what's wrong with the stock wheels!?).

Vince;
Thanks for the reply. NOthing wrong with stock wheels, just want to dress her up some with different wheels. Looks like it may be a problem though.

Vince,
I was looking recently at an F350 one ton dually front wheels. I SWEAR they looked exactly like the ones from the 303.
So I have measured the spacing between wheel lugs (3 1/4 in) and the distance from one side of the wheel to the other (9 in).
I will go out soon and start measuring one ton dually pick up truck bolt patterns.
Unless someone has already done so. If that's the case, SOMEBODY STOP ME!

For me there is nothing wrong with the stock wheels. That said, we are having a set of wider cromes made up for a concept vehicle. Bbout to be have 6 made now. I'm told they are cheaper by the dozen if anybody is so inclined.

I've been told that a n older model Dodge Ram has the same stud pattern and you can get alloys to fit, however they would be ruined first time out in the mud!
The only problem is the weight, I've got to improve the power to wieght ratio of my C303 so I've ordered titanium bolts, magnesium engine cases and covers and started swapping out all the panel I can find with carbon fibre ones .......... or maybe I'd be better and cheaper LOSING THE FLAB, LARD-BOY.

Hello to all,
Unimog rims will not fit the Volvo C-series trucks. Older US military rims will not fit the Volvo C-series. One close option I have found is the GP Montana tractor front wheels. The only problem is there is a 0.5" difference in the bolt circle diameters. Mogdification would be simple and the rims allow for four orientations (rim faces and rim rings can both be reversed).
