Fixing the front boot meant I had to detach the brake lines so the "uneven brake pressure" switch (or whatever exactly it is) triggered so my light is on. I read about it here: "To set the valve back you have to screw out the contact switch from the valve an screw it in again to make the switch inside snap to zero again." http://www.c303.de/c303-en/z-tuv.htm
I found the sensor and unscrewed it. Just a little piece of plastic rod sticks out of it, I can push it in and it springs back out. When I screw it back in the light is still on.
How exactly does one reset this switch so the brake light goes off?s
Thanks-
MJ
How to Reset Brake Light?
Re: How to Reset Brake Light?
... have you also pulled out the brakepedalindikator ?
It is a pin at the top of the brakepedal. Just pull it out.
And the handbrake should be off.

Re: How to Reset Brake Light?
Bleed front brake circuit completely while ignoring the warning valve signal.
Have someone in the driver's seat apply brake pedal pressure and crack a bleeder fitting on one side at the wheel cylinder until the light goes out. If the first side doesn't do it, crack a bleeder on the opposite side.
