Is there an easy way to test the low-fuel light? (without going low on fuel)

Yes, first make sure there is power to the bulb socket with the key "on", then ground the wire that is attached to the gas tank sender. If you have power and the bulb AND socket are good, it should light up.
Mine is real dim and comes on at 2L. Are you going to Mogfest? If so, I will be there with my Pinz and Hafie(just fits on my utility trailer).
I got my plates yesterday after getting my weight cert(1460 Lbs).
I will change from pick-up to utility as soon as I get the rear seats installed. The DMV inspector said they had to both be there and complete for him to classify it as Utility non comercial.
