Can anyone help with any wiring diagrams or direction as to which wire goes where. Can anyone give me a direction as to which wire goes where primarily regarding the dynastart so I can see if it actually works or if it needs an overhaul.

You need to provide some basic info if you wish to get a solution to your concern
There are several wiring versions, Austrian Military/Civilian, Swiss Military/Civilian, North American(Bug Eye).
I have schematics for all of them, just need the model type to assist you
Also, it would be wise to add your location to your profile

Here are the common Dynastarter connections:
#30= Batt wire from solenoid
D+= Red
DF= Yellow
Ground= Black plus 2 woven ground straps from body, If Mil spec the 3 shield grounds are also attached at the same ground bolt(total of 3 to 6 ground wires).
For a quick test, ground the case and put power to the large terminal(#30)
If it spins, it works. If it is loud you will need to change the bearings and or brushes.
Please post location and a picture of your Haflinger
