I think they look OK - the simple design helps it not look to "blingy" - maybe spray them to match the color of the Haffy?

Not overly important for a slow Hafi but it is a strange design!

Same as any other rim. There is the same amount of material 180 degrees away from anywhere you choose, so it's balanced. It's basically a "two spoke" rim. That's no different than a four spoke, five spoke, or any other quantity (except a "one spoke"!).
