Rear Seat Cushion Drawing

Just making up my new rear seat cushions and thought I would share this drawing I made (with help from others plus my own measurments).
Measurements seem to be working out perfect for me but double check yours before you start!
Will post pictures as I go.

Note: all measurements are in cm and are for the foam not the finished product except for the Back Cushion Rear strap pockets.

EDIT: I forgot a measurement on the Back Cushion Rear - drawing has been updated.
EDIT#2: I did not add on the Seat Cushion bottom straps that hold the cushion - drawing updated - thanks for the measurments Steve!

Found a great foam place and had them cut some marine grade high density foam as per drawing file.
I then used an electric knife to do the cut-outs (electric knife is only way to do this - super clean lines)!
Now just waiting for the marine vinyl to arrive.

Yes and No - I am doing a set for it (removed the old Jeep seat when I got it ) and I am doing a set for another one I own/owned (part of the sale deal).
The white foam is medium firm and I am also doing a set that is extra firm (greenish tint) to see which is best.

That way, the likes of me who will have to replace ALL the seats will be able to. I am looking at using memory foam but will need to find out which grade will work best.

What we really need is someone who has access to an Industrial sewing machine and can make up sets of covers - we could then do the "stuffing" ourselves!

Front seats are next and I have a guy making me the rear covers and he will be keeping the pattern so he can make more. Will post details when done along with costs.
Memory foam is not firm enough (once you get into stiff mem foam their is little movement thus it is really not mem foam )
I think best to use a regular x-firm foam and you can glue a thin layer of mem foam to it.

In which case I will wait until you have managed to get the covers made for both front and back and then buy a set (minus the foam) to reduce the shipping costs. I will then source foam over here in the UK to put in them.

Rear seats are done.
Hope to do a test install this weekend.
Had 2 sets made up - 1 for me and one for guy that purchased my 71 Hafi.
I am really happy how they turned out and the vinyl I used should stand up to about anything as it is pretty HD.
Guy that made them said they were a lot of work (mainly the hand sewing with the think vinyl) but he would be willing to make more if anyone is interested (if interested PM me - they are not cheap but I don't think I will ever need to replace these ones).

If anyone wants a set of the bottom seat foam I have 2 that I am selling or will trade for something small . The white foam is pretty soft but someone may want it? Value is only about $20

Seat pads are installed (passenger side so far)
Seat pads fit Amazing
Seat pads look Amazing
Seats back folds down perfectly
BUT....
When I go to close the seat doors the rear end tip of the seat frame hits and the door won't close
Will post some pics so it makes more sense.
Only thing I can think of is that my rear footwells were replaced and they are not deep enough?!?

Here is the issue - part of folded seat frame is hitting the front of the footwell when trying to close them!

Seat frames are new remans from Robet and the mounting holes were pre-drilled (lined up perfectly with the lid holes).
I looked at other rear frames and seats and these frames look to be correct size and shape and in the same spot/mounting locations as other Hafi's. A month ago I even compared these seat frame to original ones that came with my other Hafi (now sold) and everything matched up - size, folding, screw holes etc.
I just don't get it?
Only thing is that the bottom of my footwells were replaced and could be a touch shallower than stock but I don't think enough to fix this (and the seat pads are
not thicker than stock ones (had old stock ones with horse hair to work from).
Could someone measure the depth of there rear footwells from the lowest point (not on top of a rib) to the top of the deck so I can verify?

Same problem I had with my repops. Had to tweek the hinges a bit to move the folded end back.

Which hinges - the ones on the seats or the ones on the rear door covers?
Any further details on "tweek" (ie remake and reweld, smash with BFH, etc )

Seat hinges,
I took the seats off the doors, placed them standing up and folded on a piece of padding and then used a plastic dead blow hammer and love tapped them down (forward) a bit.
Honestly I first tried grinding them down and welding new end caps on them. This unfortunatly did not work and actually caused a gap between the ends when the seats were open. I ended up rewelding the 1/4 of tubing back on and doing the hinge adjustment.

by tapping the area you have the red arow pointing to actually bent the angle of the other side which brought it in and allowed it to close.
