Turn signal flasher
Turn signal flasher
Hi, 1st time post. Have a C304 that I’ve been having a lot of fun with. Recently, the turn signal flasher stopped working. Looking at the tangle of wires...seems the turn signal flasher might be inside the tunnel and not in the cabin?? Can someone confirm? Also, has anyone taken one apart and try to repair or know a equivalent replacement?? Thanks.

Re: Turn signal flasher
Lee6x6,
On the four "family" truck trucks I have had the opportunity to work with over the years, all have had the turn signal relay located in the cab.
part numbers are: 1587993-5 for 24V and 1582412-1 for the 12V unit.
Claes Hellborn at Tatanka.nu lists the following:
https://www.tatanka.nu/en/product/flasher-unit-2
for 24V and
https://www.tatanka.nu/en/product/flasher-relay
for 12V applications
Google search of the first seven digits of the part number after "Volvo" and you will locate other sources as well. My first choice would be Claes and his team.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
