Party Unimog

Post by 63rover »

Someone mentioned huge tires on a Mog a while ago. I found this photo and thought it might be the huge tire winner.

This Unimog used to live in Dundas, Ontario. Aside for the enormous tires it had 3 -3 passenger van bench seats in a U in the back. Acceleration was i name only as was braking but it could spin all for wheels trying to climb a muddy hill. I haven't seen it around for a few years.

It was the first Mog I ever rode in. Climbing into it was a challenge!

Cheers, Clive

That 404 has a diesel conversion and (I think) is still for sale (has been posted on kijiji for-sale for 3-4 years now)
Tires are too big for those 404 drum brakes :!:

I couldn't find a current post but if memory serves it was in the 15 k range. Are you thinking beach buggy? I don't think the room for 10 girls would impress the Mrs.

Well, always looking for a new beach buggy !! As for the girls, it'd probably be 10 of her beach going friends...or at least that's how I'd approach the purchase with her....... :D

Doesn't seem overly pricey, but always depends of course on inspection. I'd probably be comfortable around 10K on that one.
