Had a NICE CJ 5. Loved it. She had a name and all. Sold it for my pinz. Never looked back.(Pinz s' name is Penny, by the way)

The control arms would have let go if the driver was on the brakes when he landed. The wheels couldn't turn and would twist the suspension like a pretzel. I've seen this on cars with only a pothole and on the brakes to blame. It's likely the Jeep only failed because of a panicking driver on the brakes.
