I hadn't seen one of these before, somehow.

I assume parts would be a nightmare but it looks really cool, in that ugly truck kinda way. i like that dash too.

I don,t think it is a 'swivel frame' as such, it is simply engineered to be particularly bendy, thus keeping the wheels on the ground and improving traction, the downside is it can,t carry a lot of weight. A bendy frame is by definition going to be weaker than a big solid double flitched frame. Way back when I was in the Army it was a well know fact that the older Bedford RL which was originally engineered to be an off-road 3 tonner (later upgraded to 4 tonner - simple paper exercise-nothing was done to the vehicle)was far superior off road to the later Bedford MK, which was originally designed to cope with 5 tons (Army couldn't make up it,s mind what it wanted) You see the MK was designed with a very strong frame to take that projected, possible 5 ton load and handle it so it just didn,t bend much in the frame area.......whereas the RL was under engineered with a view to good off road ability and less load carrying performance (though as has been said it coped admirably with a 1 ton paper upgrade.) You should see my Unimog bend with 3 tons of wood on the back, climbing along rough forest tracks. Before IVECO became the monster it is and bought up all the smaller truck makers.......UNIC used to make some beautiful trucks....not so much off road trucks but good looking beasts. https://youtu.be/H7Qf-w4FdT0 If you want off road...look at the 'Simca, Unic, Marmom Bocquet. There seems to be a lot of Iveco trucks on the roads here in the US now. I wonder if parts would be that hard to get? Where was this listed for sale?

odd they mention it does not run hot in the desert but those pics are not from Arizona. Been through Show Low many times and can say I have never seen buildings, streets or vegetation that look like the ones in the photos.


Found a few of these trucks for sale on line in the Netherlands though.
