404.1 Unimog Doka Trainer

Post by Cruiser68 »

Hey all. I recently purchased a 404.1 Unimog Doka Trainer. I'm trying to get some ideas for a possible hardtop. It is currently an open cab. I'm no fabricator. Canvas would work as well but a roll cage would have to be built, then go from there.
Anybody have some ideas? Pictures? anything?
Thanks, Alan

Nice!
I assume you purchased one of Scott's?
There are a few other boards that will have more " Specific" Unimog content but this board can be a great resource as well!
This is a good resource (Mario Larouche's 404.1 Crewcab Restoration): http://www.rockymountainmoggers.com/zebra00intro.html
Here are some shots for you - hardtop is custom fiberglass, green one that says G.Vavra on it is a factory 404.1 Doka Trainer top and the others are homemade softtops (some use 2 regular cab frames joined together).
