Some of your weather must have rubbed off here - got down to 14C last night and I had to turn the heater on

So putting aside the snow thing - what other work have you done. Mine is in my drive getting some of my hood sticks sorted. Also my passenger door top was so rusted out I had to get a new one which needs to be reglazed before putting it in. Repairs to my other doors will also be needed.

When you get it back on the road I thing you will be a happy chappy.

Unfortunately most of what I've been doing is trying to sort out the paperwork with the registry. The previous owner lost his documents and can't retrieve duplicates. It's been a comedy of errors

Other than that I've been collecting all the parts and pieces I need, and it's all a matter of putting it together. Funny you mention the hoodsticks, that seems to be the only thing left I need to replace the original canvas. Problem is getting them here in the states without paying an arm, leg and possible firstborn child. I have half a mind to just make them out of some steel conduit, but I have no idea what the dimensions are. On the do list, lights, breaks, timing, and a small bit of frame I need to repair...

If all goes according to plan with the paperwork, she should be back on the road by April! I hope...

There is more in the hood sticks than you imagine - I would try to get the front and rear bows and the two top cross bows and make the rest your self. The hood sticks need to be right for the canvas top to work right.

Does your vehicle still have the double roll bar just behind the driver - it forms part of the hood system and essentially become the front hood bow.

Keep at it - I guess the weather can only get better for you from here on in.

Yeah, she's still got the roll bar and door frame pieces. The person who went over it with the hard top just kind of hacked the thing together. (I'm finding that out big time with the wiring... Or maybe that's just the Lucas way?)



Anyway, mother nature's laxatives seem to be wearing off now, and the weather does seem to be breaking this week in fact!

Ah, the infamous judge dredd cab it's neat but probably a bit impractical. (And plus, I wouldn't want to damage it in wheeling in the woods :/)

Doesn't even have ground clearance for the urban landscape, first set of steps it comes to will have the front GRP off!

Thought I should update.

Turns out, I'm in the process as we speak of registering this thing finally....

Still waiting on some final parts to arrive from the 101 club in England.

At this rate I'm hoping to get this thing on the road before the snow hits here in New England!

Its a shame you didn't give it a few revs on the video to give everyone an idea of the unique and great sound these vehicles give off.

I am upgrading my engine to a 4.6 and it will have a different exhaust - will still have a great V8 sound but not the 101 sound.

Glad to see your vehicle out and about.
