I did a brief (by no means comprehensive) search for a locally available unit some years ago, but did not find an exact replacement......I ended up purchasing a unit from XMod in the UK.
You could try some of the more specialist filter suppliers in Aus, such as Donaldson Filters.

How about the old series Land Rover double filter/separator set up. Inexpensive, easy to mount and filters are readily available through farm equipment dealers?

Clive

PS Just noticed UK. Check with Paddock Spares. Quick and reliable.

This is a first.
With all the restrictions on engine types imported into the US, those filters were easy to source with lots of alternatives.
Ty
I've extracted the filter pages (7) from the manual and emailed them to Peter. ( attached here are the diagrams)
Either he can forward it to you or pm me with your email addy and I can send the pdf directly to you.
Let me know which version truck you have (per the pdf)

The following is the
My old 716 had the version II in TA26 (but the truck was a P80),
and my ATL 718 has the filters in TA 27 (same fuel filter as the ver III in TA26)

Well, I did a little search and came up a listing with some of the apps for that filter (Fuel Filter 191 127 401).
http://www.auto-filter-klj.com/proshow_ ... ilter.html

Do a google search in Oz of "Fuel Filter 191 127 401". Your results would be different than mine. I was surprised by the number that came up.

You also reminded me that I didn't get a spare for both my filters last year when I replaced them...Now, where did I put the old one?

Let me know how you come out down there. That filter was used on a lot of Euro cars in the '80s... I am surprised a lot of them hadn't found there way to Oz.

I would also suggest you add a primary filter in front of the original ( one you can readily source worldwide... if you still have problems getting the original).

I would also put it in a different place than GG's...yes, that is the exhaust that it's mounted over
But it does have a splash shield!

While searching for other filters, I came across this online Mann catalog w/ search.
http://catalog.mann-filter.com/EU/eng/c ... WK%20842~2

Didn't give quite the desired results when I entered a Bosch # and it returned with no Mann equivalent... especially when the Bosch box had the Mann # on it.
But it does have dimensions and pretty pictures. :D

Can you please confirm your version II fuel filter and water seperator part numbers from your catalogue?
Mine only shows the version III filter 7161085060 and on another page lists it as 7161670401. ?

The water seperator is listed as 016281127417 but crossed out beneath it is the code 191127401c??

Also Canmec ofer a fuel filter for diesel Pinzgauer part number 1h0 127401 ???

I'm wallowing in mud trying to see clearly lol

Might have to order from UK but don't want to get it all way to Australia and get it wrong!!!!!

Kind regards
Ty

Using 191127401 in the Mann search, this is what it came back as: WK842/3
The above number is what is listed in the 2001 SDP parts manual.

Re-enter that number in this link. For some reason it give a different result... :?

http://catalog.mann-filter.com/EU/eng/c ... WK%20845~1

Give me an email addy and I'll send you the 7 pages. Or the complete part manual is on the yahoo Turbo D group

BTW, what parts manual are you using?

Hi Ty
I have been wallowing through all the muck for a spare secondary filter for GG, and ran into a bunch more information. ( I know, why don't I look at the existing filter?... well, it take a minimum of 20+ minutes to remove the doghouse... down from the initial hour  )

For the version 2, there is only one filter. 191127401C , Also the Mann 842/3, Mahle KL 41
And this page seems to list all the alternatives
http://www.niparts.com/s_24A32A/KL41.html

This is the size for the WK 842/3
80 mm diameter, 150mm oal . The inlet/outlet pipes are 8mm . Check this against what you have.
If need be, I can get one, and post it to Oz

There are a bunch of these filters listed in the US online and fairly cheap.

Peter, Which version is your truck? 2 or 3? The V3 secondary is a Mahle KL 75/1 (Mann WK842/4) . I think we had installed a WK853/3 last year. The only visual difference is the height (15mm) and a slightly different check valve bracket. We had bought a spare valve in case it was needed, but don't remember if we used it or not.

United Filters in Bayswater Melbourne would be worth a try.
