718 SOCOM front springs
Re: 718 SOCOM front springs
Directional tires can be swapped from one side to the other (pulled off the rim and remounted) so they still spin in the same direction but you will be wearing out the other edge of the tire then - the outside of the driver's tire becomes the inside of the passenger tire...

Re: 718 SOCOM front springs
Phil,
Do what Haf-e says,or switch with any of the rears if worn evenly.
I sent you an email with all the SDP parts that are/were available with combination of springs/pins for different ratings.
I also see in the pic what looks like another aftermarket mod for overloaded Pinzes.
I only have seen it on my 716 that also was overloaded while in service in Sweden. It is not in any of the books.
Give me a call when you have a chance, and while near your Pinz. There is something I want you to look at, and if at all, take a pic ( but very unlikely you can)

The SOCOM 718s were beefed up to haul as much as 7,000lbs. in the field, so indeed the front springs are much stiffer than stock.
