optima batteries

Post by bernhard »

Question for the guys out there with optima batteries. Is there a particular size of Optimas that fits in the Pinz battery box better then another? I’m thinking of getting 2 blue top optima’s because they have dual posts for more room to hook up accessories. Is this the right choice?

Thanks

I bought the red tops and put a wood block in to snug them up. The lock down is a little more difficult. They do not fit in the same location in the tray.

I got the largest blue top batteries that they offer and they work fine the only mod I did was to place a piece of metal over the top of the 2 batteries. The securing bracket that comes with the Pinz and the piece I made make a cross or a plus sign.

Thanks guys I did some more looking around ant the blue top D34M optima is almost the same size as my current batteries.

JC I had to make a plate to make the batteries I have now fit to. Of course now I have to make a plate for the optimas. :(

The Group 31 yellow tops will also fit. They are the largest that would fit my tray.
