Dennis welcome back, and thanks for talking to Patrick for me, though I still as of today not received my converter, October 12 it will be a year, its a good thing I have a smaller 10amp back up, though I would love to have my 30amp back, we will see, I do know others are owed a lot more and they should also get what they ordered or get a refund.

Still haven't got a call or anything from CWR. I own my own transportation/tour company. If I ran my business like CWR, I would be out of business! What really surprises me is that Patrick has not once replied to this thread which has gone on for over a month and is three pages long. Unlike myself, at least some of you are finally getting parts, even if it took a year!
If you are lucky enough to own a Pinzgauer, then you are lucky enough!

Being a repair shop I have always adhered to the "just in time" principle of having sufficient parts on hand to quickly effect repairs without having alot downed vehicles all over the place waiting for parts. That frees up cash flow for other activities and parts holding for other product lines.
Currently I am inclined to follow the status quo and source parts from CWR & others as the need arises on an ad hoc basis. Should that change I will re-evaluate the situation and start stocking parts for retail & trade sales, so in short "fear ye not!

Has anyone had resolution to their problems yet?
I spoke with Patrick last week who told a tale of international computer hackers screwing up his system. I've tried to call this week as well since I didnt' hear back from him. I can't leave a message as the mailbox is always full. I'm sending e mail tonight to see if that works.
If I am to dispute this with my CC company I need to notify them within 45 days of the transaction, and that is fast approaching.
Same story for everyone else?

Firstly, let me express the fact that you seem to have recovered from your mishap with the Pinz. Trust all is well.
I have as some know intervened for good or bad with CWR over supply issues, (one is an owner in Guatemala who was at his wits end.) I can assure you alot of time was spent trying to get some answers for there guys. I suppose I did make a new friend in Central America, an area I like going to. So there was some good that came out of it.
Look Chuck the situation is clear, I often take orders for parts against a CC number but I don't run the card until the merchandise is ready to ship.
This is good business practice and builds confidence with the customer. I have had relatively few charge backs but one incident I remember in particular was for tow brackets that didn't fit and my customers were justified in doing that. Basically such things happen and they were justified in doing the chargeback. Period! Essentally Anglo Saxon Law fitness for the purpose intended etc.
In your case its a question of cover your ass. If you haven't received the merchandise in question by the cut off date do the charge back. You can always re-authorize the charge once the stuff is ready to ship. Its that plain & simple.
I don't want to be seen as the guy with the stirring spoon but if I was getting a bunch of charge backs i would do something about it. The same goes for the phone. I will tolerate an outage for two days then "fireworks". My phone is essential to my business. I dumped one company for outages after three days so for me it's zero tolerance on that score. Frankly the answer to phone problems lies with the subscriber these days!

You guys have a lot of patience. I could only wait about 6 weeks and then contacted my credit card company as I was surprised to get charged without anything being shipped. Visa/MC rules are that the merchant should only charge the credit card when they ship the goods, not when the order is placed. The credit card gets authorized when you place the order and then released after 24 hours. The authorization code is good for 30 days with Visa and 10 days for MC and you have up to 3 mos. to dispute a transaction with Visa or MC.
Your only limitation, is the creativity of your imagination!

Computer crash, blah blah bah. Been over 6 months, no return calls, no return e-mails, voice mail always full. You would think Patrick would stand up for himself on this thread. I would venture to say at this point, he is out of business. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS CROOK!

I just called the credit card company and let them know what is going on. I too would have thought that Patrick would have chimed in. Since he has not returned my calls or e-mails since July, I would have to agree that he is out of business. It is a shame that he can not at least let people know what is going on.

I ran a nslookup on coldwarremarketing.com and it doesn't appear that you have the correct email address (unless Patrick gave you that one as an alternative)
According to CWR website, the email should be patrick@coldwarremarketing.com not cold-war@earthlink.net
Additionally, the email server for coldwarremarketing.com shows their mailserver as mail13.inforouter.net. Patrick likely uses some sort of POP3 or IMAP client such as Outlook or Outlook Express to retrieve his mail from there.
He may have just discontinued his earthlink account; his domain email should still be working. (patrick@coldwarremarketing.com)
this is just an IT perspective, I'm not sure what is going on with his business.

Yeah I fugured there was another address for them, I actually just sent an email thru the contact tab on the site and that was the response I got back, so thanks for the additional email I'll give it a try on and see what happens.

I got the same reply when I tried to e mail him from the link on the CWR site. I'm going to my bank and cancel the transaction that is now 7 weeks old in the AM. I've tried weekly to get back intouch with him to no avail.
