So I spent a rainy Saturday working on the Pinz- wishing I was at the sunny, warm San Diego tech day. I noticed in Juergen's valve adjust instructions that I should adjust the spark plug gap to .76mm instead of stock gap when using Pertronix and civilian plugs. Long story short, the truck now runs noticeable better, has less exhaust smell, and (slightly) more power and this is really all I can attribute it to since the valves were in good shape.
I suppose it could all be in my head. The placebo effect is very powerful.
Small gap, big difference
