I've dis-assembled enough Pinzgauers to tell you that the stock Pinz paint is NOT a flat paint. Somewhere between Satin and Semigloss. We worked with Milspray on the east coast and sent them out an original pinz panel...they have color matched it and sent us out a sample. We sprayed it out and it looks to be a match to the original. When I get back to the shop next week I can forward their paint code, contact information.

Their are numerous variations on colors and SAV is correct that humidity, temperature, surface prep., can all have a direct impact on the final color/gloss configuration.

At the end of the day when you walk through a Swiss Military Depot you will see variations in the colors of the vehicles. Bottom line, use a color that YOU like and be done with it. More than likely at one point or another it would have matched up with a Swiss OD color!

I've purchased several cans of the spray paint that SAV sells. It covers great, matches perfectly, and is very high quality. I recommend it.
