Engine compression

What is the compression of a Good Pinz engine in PSI? Both my Pinz measure 160-163 PSI. I’m guessing this is fine but just wanted to confirm with other owners out there.
Thanks
Bernhard

That is the top end of the scale, I find most to be around 125-145psi

Hello Bernhard,
My pinz engine runs between 150 to 155 psi.

Thanks guys,
Looks like both my engines are in good condition.

My 712 always pinged on regular gas so now I run supper or supreme. I was under the impression you could run these engines on very low octane gas? I guess what is considered low octane in Europe is high octane here.

don't you just have to retard the timing a bit to use 87 octane?

Hi Guys,
That seems like pretty awesome compression to me! Last time I did a leak-down I had compressions of about 145-150ish (with a cold engine though)...
Also, I've been running 87 octane in my Pinz for a long time with no ping/knock at all (and I am a scooch advanced in timing). I do have the civ ignition / spark though so maybe that makes a difference as well.
