Sticker residue on speedo cover

The plastic cover on my Pinz's speedo has alot of residue left from the max speed sticker that was on it . I can still read it buts it's kinda crappy looking. I tried using an adhesive remover on it to no avail. Anybody out there have any advice on how to get this off my speedo? I don't want to buy a new unit as this one works fine.

3M adhesive remover or speedy 500 usually work (found at auto body supply shops), anything stronger may etch the plastic or make it cloudy. Perhaps Turpentine or Naptha

I have used finger nail polish remover to get off adhesive residue from lots of stuff. Works great, it is cheap and may even be somewhere around the house. Ask if you can 'borrow' a little from your roomie.

Check a small area as a caution.

I use denatured alcohol

WD-40 and a soft cloth will work also.

I agree with chapel, use a little petroleum based solvent to remove the "sticky" stuff, kerosene works well. Then clean with rubbing alcohol or detergent.

If the lense is scratched use a little plexiglas cleaner/polish.

I have used this method on glass and plastics with good results!

I seem to remember posts about using amonia. Has anyone tried that?

For gummy addhesive try baby oil. I usual soak a paper towl with it and leave the paper towel on the ick that I want to remove.

I tried the amonia trick several years ago and it worked like a charm .... let it soak in just enough liquid to cover the lens for a day. It completly removed the decal and the adhesive. I'm still using the same gauge today. BTW, I used aircraft windshield polish to clean up the lense afterward.
