Fan again

So the pin fell out - question

Doesn it just push inthe back and then you tighten the knob onto it?? - no ifo anywhere that I can see.

Plus when I was painitng I let the fan just hang down. When I went to put in back the yellow wire was just hanging there...couldn't find any thing to attach it to. I taoed it up just until I get and answer. I have checked the manuals and nothing goes to details on this stuff


Any ideas
