The map lights are 24 v. does anyone know what the wattages are supposed to be. I have been working on the wiring to the relay (they have never worked, but the purple ones do) and I got them to work yesterday, but the bulb in there was a 24-21w - dual filament bulb and she was smoking the fixture.....I am sure this is way to much wattage, but I'm not sure what's supposed to be in there.....

Thanks dudes and duddetts

Hello

I don't know the wattage, but and forgive me if you already know this, but the map lights aren't supposed to work if the blackout(purple) lights are on. When the door is opened, the white lights go out and the blackout lights come on.

Problem is that the white lights don't work at all no matter what I do. I don't really care about when they come on - I am going to re-wire it onto toggles anyway. The black out feature is pretty useless to me.

Thanks for your input though.

Hello,

as far as I remember the bulbs are at a not so common wattage of 10W. I have replaced my ones with 24V LED cluster bulbs to save energy when spending long eveneings outdoor.

I just bit the bullet and ripped out all the wiring and rewired it all to 12 volt and just using 1156 bulbs - seems to be just fine now.

Thanks to all of the replies I appreciate it :D .....
