How do I remove my radio antenna base that is part of my canvas top? Then do I need to repair the canvas top after removal?

it just unscrews but often the inserts spin if the bolt is rusty. and yeah, holes in the top are left, but easily patched.

Most guys make a metal plate and use black silicone sealant to put over the hole

one thing i learned about silicone adhesive is that it out-gasses in the sun, so it shrinks, so the bond line breaks and h20 gets thru. latex house calk (sealant) or "geo-cell" work gr8.

Sure it will. You'll just knock the garage door off its track, rip the arm off the door that the opener attachs to, and damage the door trim.
Not that I would know anything about it; I just heard about it from a "friend".

After I took the antennea base off, I now only have to add 12 bags of sand to the rear and let the tire pressure down to 15psi. Viola It only rubs on the weatherstripping on the door frame.

I think you all are missing the most important point here.
You guys need bigger garages! Just explain to the wife - Big truck = Big garage. I'm sure she will understand.
