Hello everyone I am a newbie on this site
I have just purchased a Swiss Army 710M and would like to know what is involved to convert amber stop lights to red stop lights. I have had a look and have an idea what to do but don't want to cook any wiring.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Thanks Jim
I have had a look at the photo and they look like the ones already in my pinz which also has provision for a small camo globe. The amber blinker also acts as an amber stop light which would seem to be a wiring issue.
Still confused

First you need to go back and look at what Jim has posted and reread ..

Another option.. http://www.expeditionimports.zoovy.com/ ... t_install/

Thanks Erik 712M
I had already noticed the spare pink wire and this would seem to be the best way to go.I want to retain the existing Swiss Army tail light so maybe I can use the small camo light socket for the tail light.
Cheers

You will need the conversion sockets linked to in my last post. These are not the same as the factory config and come with instructions, no extra wires needed and they use the original lenses and housings.
Worth the money if you want to retain the original lenses and housings.

I have the conversion insert that Jim mentions, really simple and worth the $$$. Call SAV or EI and get them sent, it takes just a few moments work with switching wires and you will have tail llights that look just the same and have the red stop feature that we are all used to in the U.S.
U.S. drivers really don't get the yellow stop light, although it is legal in Europe and for the year of the vehicle, it is not worth the possible collision.

Happy trails

I've seen krick3tt's converted lights and they're great, but I never did find those on the SAV website despite searching. Thanks for the question and answers on this one.

I ordered it from EI.
Call and ask Dale or Scott to send you the item. ...or click on the sponsor link above.
I did check my old invoices and there was no part number listed so I can't tell you what it would be.
