My wife would kill me but I so want one of these to round out my SDP collection - you know... one of each
Do the Puch's have locking diff's all around - I thought I read something about them not having?

If you have to have one there were several in Montreal when I visited Pinz Canada this summer (all soft tops, military, around $15K). He also had had one lonely 701M left. (only 2 rear seats and no tools etc. about 13000 km. A very nice project)

Lockers are options on these but generally you will find rear lockers at the minimum. I can see in the pics of this one that it has front and rear. The two pull knobs are to the left/bottom of the shifter, close to the seat.

They were sold as Puch's in Austria and the Czech Republic - or at least that was what I have been told...

I like the Puch version myself - but this one has MB wheels unfortunately... although that can be dealt with parts from one of the G-wagen parts places.

The steel wheels (like on the spare tire in the photos) are exactly the same as what is used on the MB and Freightliner Sprinters - so they are fairly easy to get - there are plastic puch center caps for these rims that snap in:

Also available in black

These should also fit on the 716 and 718 with steel wheels as well...

The wheels in these pics are from a new MB and I think make it look horrible. The MB/FL van wheels have different off-sets and are not exactly the same. Check this list for more: http://www.rubicon-trail.com/G-Class/wheels/start.html

My bad... I was basing it off a report from a g-wagon guy I sold a set of sprinter rims too... Humm... Maybe he had spacers already?

I agree that the alloy rims look bad - a set of steel wheels would be much better.

I always wanted to put all of the Puch emblems on a Syncro van...

Almost did it on my Sprinter but that's too much of a stretch - although it does haul my Haflinger.

If a total resto was done 5 years ago, why was the rusted areas not cut out?

I have a 300G in the front yard, camo paint for sale.

Interesting. What is your price? Do you have it listed anywhere for us to look at?

Agreed
He states that it is all great and solid but one mans "surface rust" (seller) is another mans nightmare (buyer)!
I like it but it would have to inspected top to bottom - rear door sides, under the nice rubber floor mats, etc etc etc
Then there's the mechanicals
