very clean, straight. Good example of what it should be. I'd pay $12k if the heater fan was quiet.

Re: 710M For Sale
After owning one for a seven years and the insight I have gained, if I was in the market, I would scoop that up.

Re: 710M For Sale
If this were a 712 I'd have my max bid locked and loaded by now.
Ezzzz, tempting though, too tempting.

Re: 710M For Sale
Kommiefornia residents need not bid. It's just too new for Jerry Brown and Diane Feinstein (Combined ages = 157 years. Please retire!).

Kommiefornia - one of the reasons we left...

Wasn't the reason we left but, probably will never go back.

Re: 710M For Sale
1975 and older are exempt in CA.
The 1'st incarnation of the CA Smog laws were enacted in 1984, which were more restrictive.
Yes, Jerry signed this into law at that time. However, there have been many changes since then
that Pete and Arne signed into law. For instance, eliminating the 30 year rolling exemption, and
setting the exemption 1976 or newer. Lots of boring DOC's on this if you like reading stuff with
numbered lines and legal speak -- puts me to sleep.
These laws are always a double edged sword. There are +'s and -'s. If you have ever walked the
streets of Bangalore or Beijing in recent years -- as I have -- you would know why you need to
regulate emissions. Yes, I'd like to see better exemptions for "specialty vehicles" too.

Re: 710M For Sale
Are you implying that a 1975 Pinzgauer could be licensed in California? I thought 1974 was the newest allowed, I hope I am wrong.

My 1975 710K was licensed for years in California prior to my relocating to a more civilized state.

Re: 710M For Sale
On topic, this gem is still at $11,5K with 9+ hrs to go, doesn't meet the min reserve.
Looks like there's a number of auto bids in place. Again, if this were a 712, I'd loose
my rational self and be all over it, would go nice under the tree -- well Redwoods.
Oh, ya, 1975 is exempt in CA. Right here in the DMV site http://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/vr/smogfaq
Lots if history here too on various Assembly Bills http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California ... ck_Program
Just have plenty of coffee before you read this stuff.

Re: 710M For Sale
I foolishly thought that Ebay was a bid situation. Makes little sense, to me, to put a price on something and see if people are willing to bid to figure out what you want and try to meet it. Just put it for sale and see if it sells.
It is, by the way, a very fine looking vehicle so I can understand wanting to get top dollar.
