I've owned this 1973 Pinzgauer 712M since August 2012. I bought it from Eric Minnick in Big Bear, California (former forum member here on Real 4x4s) who was shutting down his offroad touring business. Under my ownership, I've only put about 2500 pavement kilometers on it and that brings the estimated odometer reading to approximately 84,000kms. The odometer crapped out at 56,000kms with the previous owner.
Condition of this Pinzgauer is very good. Body is solid, very little rust (cosmetic only); soft top is in very good condition. Mechanically, everything is in very good working order. I had Jim LaGuardia do some work on it before bringing into Canada and I've since done quite a bit to it as well. This Pinz 6x6 will pass any import/insurance inspection with flying colours! EVERYTHING works (headlights hi/lo, brake lights, signal lights, back-up lights, 4-way flashers, horn, wipers, diff locks, brakes, e-brake, all circuit breakers in good order) . No stars or cracks in the window glass. It drives straight (alignment is good) and the tranny synchros are fine in each gear. All in all, you could confidently drive from my location here in Calgary all way the home, given patience and hearing protection!
