SOLD - 712M - Running Project - Montana Title / Reg

1975 - 712M at our warehouse in Vallejo. Running/Driving. Ex Swiss Ambulance, ambulance box is not with it. SIGNIFICANT Rust Out where the ambulance box was over the rear body. Undercarriage and front of truck reasonable. Been sitting for 5+ years. Rebuilt Carbs (Goatwerks) and Fuel System. Ignition gone thru. New Boots. Expect you will need to do hydraulics, brakes. It would be a good project for someone. If your intent is flatbed use, it would be a great option. If your intent is purchase to restore.....plan on buying a new body tub from SAV. Current Title and Regisitration in Montana. Not legal for CA.

A curiousity question. What is the purpose of that “Y” strap on top the cab?

Yes, when I tell my photographer to "photo document" he knows it is a lot easier to just do it overkill, versus me asking him later for additional photos!

You have me stumped as well on the purpose of the top strap. I can tell you I have seen it on numerous Ambulances, but I do not recall ever seeing it on other Pinzgauers. Hopefully someone from the group will have an answer.

the only reasonable answer I have heard for the Y straps is to help with canvas slapping. Not sure that it helps but it is the only answer I have heard.

So we had no takers. It is now titled and registered in Montana and we have pulled it into the shop. New boots, carb rebuilds, ignition and she is running quite well. Price bumped to minimum $12,200 obo.
