I asked the new owner/seller what he had done to truck to take it from $16k cdn (granted an AMAZING deal) to $25k USD.
He did not have much of a reply

I agree that buying that truck for 16500 CDN was a steal. At least at today's conversion, that's less than $13,000 USD. Good buy. But that's got little to do with his current asking price, IMHO.
First off, it's just an "asking price", so it might be set higher just to allow discounting. Sometimes a high asking price gives potential buyers the impression of a higher value.
Second, what is the truck worth? Few of us would disagree that it's worth more than $13000. The truth is, it's somewhere in the middle, I'd guess.
Who wouldn't want to buy low and sell high?

Wo What is the truck work then. I agree starting a little high isn't always a bad thing. I see it is back on at 23K so getting closer to the buy it price
