Hello Guys,

I could not find a introduce your self read so I figured will start by introducing my self. My names Derek, I'm from VT, and own a company importing and selling old Land Rover ( gmr4x4.com ).

I'm looking to sell my 1976 710K, 24V, 37,800km and 941 hours on the engine hobbs. It went a through a complete respiration a couple years ago by a guy here in VT. It's in amazing shape, and runs amazing. Unlike my Rover's everything works, every switch, every light and has no leaks! I have is military Swiss military history, all the services manuals, and owners manuals. We just installed new valve cover gaskets as #4 had a small leak. Other then that I have driven her 2,000 miles with no problems what so ever. BN4 heater works amazing in it and all the window black out curtains or in excellent condition.

I would really like to see her going to a good home. Price is $24,000 is obo. I mostly deal in Defenders/ Series and 101's so I have only done a little research on price. If it seems nuts please let me know what you think it's worth. I can't seem to find many for sale to compare....or any as nice.

GERMAN military gear not included in sale as its a friends. Airsoft M60 and pintle are however included along with new studded snow tires, tire chains, all the stock recovery tools, jacks, and some random spares.

A little test drive video and the pictures

Please feel free to call me any time with questions 802-655-4874. Wife also says she would be willing to trade it for a 06 or newer Range Rover full size......if anyone has one of those they are looking to trade.

I.M.H.O.-

You do have a clean truck. Your asking price is usualy reserved for an upgraded truck or one that has had the factory restoration within the last 5 years. Another gentleman just purchased one in like condition in Ont. Canada for 30-40% less. And his was in the early 80's.

Perhaps a list of upgrades such as 2.7L motor, petronix, or civi ignition kit with stock spares would help support your asking price.

Personally having sold my 710K a little over a year ago, I would say that is a 15K truck.
I would start the listing at that.

Another K owner here. On your video, you have an interesting "gun mount" near the roof portal. Can you share some photos of it :?:

Even posting it as $17.5 to outside parties and negotiable to those "in the know" would be fair. At least then folks get a chance to look the truck over and evaluate it for themselves.

I paid $18,000 for mine in Oct. 2010. To me my K was worth a premium because I really didn't want an M, not in my climate and safekeeping the radios and stuff I always have in it. It was as complete as yours, and as clean. Didn't have any guns or mounts, though :( I guess it depends also on how fast you want to sell it.

You need patience selling one of these; they don't have the more common Rover audience (I used to deal with Series trucks). I'd also get rid of those 100% useless, piece of S**T, 1960's tech tires. Modern radials will make a world of difference in the ride, look and safety, which can only help it sell easier.

An '06 R-Rover eh? "Brave" is all I can think to say about that.

My wife wants a Range Rover. I don't know mcu about the new ones...I'm a series, 101, and defender guy. The Rover mx guys told me to get a 06 or newer. I drive my 101 and Pinz as daily drivers so it Keeps her happy the. It's worth it.

As long as you don't mind possible maintenance and upkeep nightmares, the newer RR's are ok. Nothing beats the comfort level but damn do they have some electronic and electro-mechanical downfalls. Hopefully you can find a mint example.
