Post by mopar »

An oportunity has presented itself so I am selling my TGB1111. Also the wife has nowhere to park.

Brief description:

1975 Volvo TGB1111 Tank killer. Shift on the fly 4x4 with Portal axles and lockers. Thios swedish military truck is an incredible offroad beast. It will rival any stock Jeep, Toyota, landrover, Unimog, Pinzgauer or most any other vehicle. Powered by a volvo B30 6 cylinder engine parts are fairly plentiful and the se engines can be upgraded to Fuel injection and turbocharged. I have a complete set of owners manual and service log and repair manual. Vehicle was restore a few 2 years ago. It has a custom made bikini top, CB radio onboard air, a superwinch that can be mounted and moved easily front or Back. It has been upgraded to electronic iginition(1234 ignition) as well as a 24 to 12v converter and 4 batteries (2 24V battery banks with charging circuiut) so you won't get stuck airing up the tires or winch out any situation. Truck also has 5 new 35" tires a high lift Jack upgraded Halogen headlight, paint, undercoating. Back of truck has custom engineered tilt spare tire holder and you can carry a ton of missle(or whatever you want) in the back.
Some videos of it are on youtube:

This is a listingeverything thats been done to the Volvo:

Recently painted in NATO Green . Body and frame are in really great condition everything has been undercoated.
15000 Kilometers from new, and I have all the MOTs(UK Registrations) and the Swedish Army Service Books and all records back to the first service at 100Kms to show how low the mileage is. I even have the key fob with her original army licence plate number on it!
Mechanical & comfort upgrades include:
5 new Maxxis 35 X 12.50 X 16 tyres on powder coated tubeless rims, the 5th is mounted on a custom lifting rear mount so you can access the rear storage lockers easily. Also Have Hi-Lift Jack mounted on top of the spare tire
A stainless steel exhaust system, new exhaust manifold, new water pump, factory serviced replacement Alternator
new CV Boots, new brake cylinders all round, resealed bottom swivels, recent brake shoes all round, new rubber hub seals (4), new diaphragm for the 4WD actuator. New sliding prop shaft rubber boots (2)
The soft top has new velcro and repaired and re-seamed and sealed where necessary, I also have a custom made bikini top in green.
The seats in the back with 3 high backs with arm rests and seat belts built in (inertia type) so they are really comfortable (still have all original seats). The fronts are original but have inertial seat belts fitted for more comfort.
Rear heater water pipes all replaced, and heater moved under seats out of the way of feet. and now seats 6 in comfort!
There is also a 24 Volt high output VI-AIR compressor built in with flexi hose and gauge for tyres etc.
6 X 12 Volt outlets for phone chargers GPS etc
EI H4 HEADLIGHT upgrade KIT 70/75W with stone guards on the lights.
There 4 additional guages mounted volt meter, oil pressure, vacumn and tachometers. A rev counted is mounted above the speedo on the original dashboard. I have another original dashboard if required as well.
There is a full international CB Radio system mounted behind the passenger seat (easy reach for driver) with twin rear aantennas.
Both diaphragms in the Carburetors (although they were good anyway) just to keep the carbs running perfect, which they are, these have recently been balanced and tuned. It has 123 Ignition on it via a 45Amp (24v-12v)voltage dropper, which can be used for many other 12V items too.
There is another pair of 12V batteries on the other side in the back charged from a split charge system, these power the 9000Lb Superwinch fitted with Plasma Synthetic Rope, which is like new and has been used2 or 3 times It mounts front or rear on special custom mounts with high power connectors.
Also has new plugs and high output Wires & Coil as well. New heater control cables and valves, new throttle cable, new choke cable.
New rubber matting in the rear (original still retained in perfect condition)
I am sure there are more upgrades but I can’t think of them right now!
As for Spare Parts
NEW water pump
Spare alternator
Fuel pump NEW
Clutch cable
Throttle cable
4xDistributor Caps New
6 Spark PlugsNew
4 Volvo CV Boots New
2 Urethane CV Boots New
2 Rubber Shifter boots New
All Receipts for the work done on truck
Hard Cover Repair Manual
I am sure there is more but I can’t think of it right now!

Very complete truck with lots of extras to keep you going for a long time!! Runs and drive like its 10 years old not 38.

Mopar,

Thats a cool vehicle. Is there really 21" of ground clearance under the differentials? Did you measure it?

I am asking respectfully, because I am no expert. Its just suprising that you would have 21" of clearance on that vehicle when a standard C303 seems to have 15" or 16" of clearance based on my limited research, and the Pinz its parked next to in your picture probably has about 14".

Please confirm. Many thanks.

It is 16" at the diff but 21 at the front bottom of the leaves and front center leaf skids.

I think you should either clarify in your ad exactly where you are measuring your 21" of "ground clearance", or use 16" if its not specified. Since "ground clearance" is generally understood as being measured from the lowest part of the vehicle, your ad is misleading. Just my $.02
