just saw it today, not affiliated with the seller. I'm heading down to San Antonio for the week. I could look at it as early as tomorrow if anyone was interested.

I'm the current high bidder on the truck though I'm nervous. The line that they don't have the key, so try cant test the engine is horse crap.

I agree. the tool kit should have the hand crank to test fire. Ive used a nail in the ignition just to bridge the contacts for ignition.

Not rocket science to hotwire a Haffy. They should do that.. just as a sales booster.

That scorch on the rear engine access door is odd.. what would have caused that?

Nice original Hafi that looks pretty complete.
If Andre can check it out then I would take him up on the offer and have him buy a battery to test it.
Will def need work but looks like a great base to start from.

Fuel filter is on right hand side of engine bay.
It is missing (not in photos) some of the air intake
Not really sure what could make that mark - wierd - I would ask seller

Yeah, I saw it jump from $7k to $11k pretty quick. The subject of this thread may need to be edited to reflect "cheap" has long since past...

Scorch mark corresponds to the other side reversing light, so it must have been left on at some point for a long time. If it is not triggered by the "official" reversing light switch on the gearbox turret, it will have a separate switch in the cab which may not have a warning light that work attached to it....

So, depending on who buys it, the Hafi might disappear from view for a long time whilst they "restore" it and then sit in some personal collection to be looked at and not driven.

John

Just had a better look at the two pictures - the mark is more or less behind the number plate, so could not have been made by the reversing light after all. Possibly someone put an inspection light down on the flap when it was open? Seems a strange place to have been using a naked flame.

It is a NA Pathfinder and they only brought in 336 of these to USA so it mkes them pretty collectible.
Makes me feel good that I am restoring one that will then be used.
$13,000 and still going - the 71 Pathfinder I was selling for $10k now looks like a bargain (ESP because it ran great and had zero rust)
Winning bid will be interesting to see!

$13,222.77 was the winning bid, which kinda surprised me since the EI 703 only made it to $7k. Dan's comment on rarity rings true with the Pathfinder versions.
