Dang, if I wasn't so broke right now I'd drive up there and buy it for parts if nothing else.

It was..
I hauled it back to Houston last weekend.
Put a new solenoid in it and she was firing on all four cylinders.

Yeah that's awesome, but I'm a little confused. What did the solenoid have to do with the cylinder? For future reference.

I'm assuming that would be a carburetor fuel shutoff solenoid. Good deal, so iguess this meens you are not parting it out.

Yes fuel shut off valve. I just looked it up at SAV $175.00 WOW !!! $220 at EI. Damn, talk about sticker shock.
I would think it would be a $20 or less part if it wasn't Pinzgauer/Mercedes.
Not parting it out quite yet.

At least $1500 worth. I'm very happy with my new pinz.

Overall B pinz is in much better condition than my first 710.- A Pinz, that I bought off a buddy for 5K witch was running like a champ until the starter gear came off and broke a hole on my engine case. It's all welded up and I'm still in the process of re-assembling the drive line after I replace the motor mounts.

I drove B Pinz around the block this evening.and it seems down on power, smoking pretty badly.
I'll have more time next week to dive deeper into the engine and diagnose whats what.

A Pinz, I've sice added one of Andre's awesome bumpers, a 9500 Superwinch and replaced the plastic in the windows. And a couple of grand in assorted parts/repairs to make it "road-worthy''.
