We're going to hit the road around 5:30 so we'll probably be in the Comstock area sometime after lunch. I'll call and email you from the road and see if we can swing by. Worst case, we're plan to meet up face to face on the way back.

Very cool, I think the new Car Czar requires that on all new automobiles, especially military types.ablank wrote:For anyone interested, you can view our progress from Houston to Big Bend through the park and back via this link

There's no info yet, but tomorrow morning it'll start showing us moving (slowly).
Erik, tossing a beer your way as well as the spoon to stir it up!
If you didn't get stuck, you didn't try hard enough.

Adam Blank took a bunch more photos than I did but here's the first batch.
These are from Big Bend National Park.

Bill Burge and his wife Kathy and their son Drew joined us and Adam Blank and my buddy Danny Bynum joined me in my Pinz. While there were only two vehicles, that didn't seem to matter and it certainly enabled us to move along at a tempo we were happy with.
There were a lot of details and things we learned from this outing and probably the most useful tidbit is that we will not be doing this trip in June again as the mid day temps were just out of control. I've been to the Big Bend region dozens of times and it was just too harsh this time of year.
Another observation is that we should probably break the trip up into one that will be BBNP specific and one in which we will focus on the BBRSP trails exclusively.
This is a spectacular area and there's much more terrain to explore in both parks so we'll have lots of terrain to consider for future outing.
When the video is all assembled, we'll post that as well.
