Parts availability in the US

Post by ridemywideglide »

I've got a customer with a Hafi, and I'm needing a source for parts. Engine gasket set, lock rings for 4x4 handles, possible ignition upgrade, (pertronix if something like that is available) and a few other things. Belts, etc..

I've found most of these items from Puch500, but would like to find them in my own country if possible.

Thanks
Brad

Scott at Expedition Imports as he sponsors this forum and is a great help to the Hafi and Pinz community http://www.expedition-imports.com/

Not sure, but I think Scott has gotten out of the Hafi business. I'm pretty sure he's sold off most, if not all of his stock to someone.

I've been getting some parts from Swiss Army Vehicles, but it's minor stuff. I think for more major things call and see if Goatwerks has them, or if not he can direct you to the best source on this continent.

Well, I'll be damned, yep those two are new.

One of them is pretty nice looking, but I'm still glad I got mine from him when I did.

Scotts stock of Haflinger parts went to Jim Malloy in Sheridan OR - or at least that is what I heard at Mogfest from Jim himself. Not sure how he plans on selling them - perhaps it is just parts for his herd of haffy's he has acquired... not sure how large of an inventory it was.

I've gotten parts from Scottland as well - Haflinger Technik ? Something like that (its getting late here...)

The inventory of Scott's used Haflinger parts did make their way to our farm in Oregon. There were no NOS parts in what we hauled North. I am not sure what Scott currently has in stock as far as Pertronix ignitions. I source my gaskets from either Haflinger Technik in Scotland or Robert Prokschi in Austria.

Feel free to contact me and I will be happy to look through the parts currently here. Some are from Scotts's stockpile while others are those I have amassed over the past several years.

Is it a North American Bugeye and if so, Canadian or US spec?

Unfortunately, I do not have any of these units in reasonable condition fro resale. You best bet is to search for "Land Rover Series tail lights". Steyr_puch opted for Lucas lights on the North American spec Haflingers. For example:

Any of the US based Series Land Rover parts suppliers should be able to supply you with what you need.

Hope this helps.

Take care.
