Hi All. We have a Pinzgauer P90 718 (ex firetruck from Isle of Man) We are looking for documentation on the original standards during manufacture. For example Brakes, seatbelts, etc. Can anyone help ?

You may have already thought of this, but have you considered buying a build sheet from S-Tec ?

I have several submission approvals by Automotive Technik to the Uk’s Vehicle Certification Agency and the German TUV but are for ABS and newer systems that the last Pinzgauers were manufactured with and doubt would be useful for a P90.
BAE had told me that this information is available from both the VCA and TUV if you know the reference numbers.
I would try contacting S-Tec to see if they are willing to track down those numbers or send you the pertinent files. I would have thought the seatbelts would have had the compliance labels still on them..?

Paul posted the link and yes you can get your build sheet (wagenstammkarte) for a fee (In 2013 it was 37 euro and now it is more) from them with just the serial number.whitesik wrote:Could someone educate me on "S-Tec"? we do have a component document but it's not sufficient for our Transport Agengy people. They require the actual standards that all the components are built to - not the compent list. Did they actual make such a document ?

As mentioned above, we have a 1991 Pinzgauer P90 718 (ex Fire truck). This vehicle was purchased in the UK and was registered there. We purchased this vehicle to assist us with our work in support Emergency Services.

We are trying to get the vehicle registered in New Zealand but are having difficulties. The main problem is that vehicles registered in Britain were not required to meet the European standards that the New Zealand authorities recognise.
In New Zealand, the important thing for newly-registered road-going vehicles is either:
a) 1/ obviously certified to a standard or
b) 2/ has the same components as a vehicle or model that meets a standard.
We need evidence of either of these.
The standards that are relevant are the economic commission for Europe standard ECE 13 standard or the European Economic Community standard 71/320/EEC.
Evidence in support of this might be that the exact same model of vehicle was sold and used on the road in EC countries and therefore was accepted as meeting an EC standard.
Any information that could be of assistance would be greatly appreciated.
