There are a few owners here. And for the most part, only a few privately owned 716/18s in the world

Yes that seems to be so , you can see that from the amount of TD posts on this forum . Proberly a lot of the TD are still in service around the world , mind you they did'nt make that many of them compaired to the series 1 . O well !

TD owners show up when we're needed here, and have an answer. We usually had or still have gasser Pinzes, and a large percentage of the mechanics are similar to them.
The engine was common to VW 3.5 trucks and Volvo cars, so there are VW and Volvo sources too ( not much in the US though :( ).
Lastly, many of us have had our trucks for a long time and have traded info or asked questions either by direct emails, or with posts on other forums, and this one (before the crashes and hacks).

I think that David's right in saying that if you've got a question regarding the diesel Pinzes there's enough of the right people around to give you a good answer.

Safe to say that most of my experience is with vehicles that give you a warm LEFT leg and are only available in one particular shade!

You will find a few 718/716 on this forum

http://pinzforum.kiruna.de/index.php

It is a very active German Pinzgauer Forum. Their is a lot of technical expertise and knowledge to be found on these pages.
