Happy new year to every body.

thinking about putting cooper discoverer stt 285/75/16 on my 718k.
any body run this size tyre?
does it effect engine speed?
will it rub against any body parts?
any info will be great.
thanks.

Regards.

285/75 are the standard size for the latest Pinzes. I have 8.25-16 XZLs on my truck, but to do it again, I'd go back to 255/85 -16s .... for all particial purposes, they are the same diameter a the 285s, only narrower.

I run on my 716k , 285/75 BFG Mud terrain on 7,5x16 rims , there's no steering catch but a fair bit of tarmac noise .

Ran 285/75R16 Cooper STT on 718T and 718K vehicles during comparative testing for Pinz II which would have had 18" Coopers. We were very impressed with their off-road traction and on road handling but didn't run them long enough to get any idea of tread wear or carcass strength.

718T with Coopers here:

Thanks Tads,

seems to be a good choice tire for 718k,
I was a bit concerned about on road performance and noise,
was there any of these issues during testing.

Regards.

No, one of the things we all agreed on was that the Coopers were quieter and provided greater feedback than the BFG MTs usually fitted.
