Well I just picked up a 1987 718M. Spent 2 days getting it. Its one Delta ones sold through Government liquidation. I have owned 2 712M so I decided to sell my TGB1111 and my 712M to fund the purchase as I have been wanting one since I missed out on them in the auctions. This one has 17,000 km on it and It is supposed to be a P90 I've seen the cuts for the radiator hoses. I don't know a ton about them but it runs real nice. It was 90% restored. All the CARC was removed with wire brushes it was painted red and most parts are painted, powdercoated or linexed. It has orginal SDP top. It has merecedes seats fitted and all the holes in the body have repaired and the back is linexed as well as the nose front bumper and rear bumber(I really like how it looks). I towed it home with a buddy from Ashland, VA Sunday.

To do list
I will need to install some rear seats( I have the frames)need to make cushions and find brackets to mount them. The winch only clicks doesn't move the drum. I have to find a light bulb as it had a 12V H4 bulb in one side and that one blew out. I don't think I can add my LEDs to this one as the mounting is different even though they are 7" round just not a standard mounting. I will add my LED off road lights from the 712 to this one. I want to find the lunnete for the tow bar/cable cutter bar.

First question of many more to come is the truck part 12V as I have a lead coming off one the batteries be they are tied in together? or could this be the winch connection? If the winch connection is the winch 12V or 24V?

Winch is 24v. My truck had a 12/24 converter mounted up where the glove box normally mounts. There is also 3 buss bars behind the driver seat, ground, 24v, and 12v. My 12v bar was supplied by the converter and was also connected to one of the batteries, very strange.

WOW is that thing ever nice!!!
Nice score - it looks brand new!
The 'at auction' picture to where it is now is amazing
To be honest, I have never liked the "pig" diesel nose add on - always looked like (to me) they took the original design and then said how can we stuff a bigger motor in this thing for the least amount of money. Not exactly sure why but the way your new truck's front end is painted it really looks good - goes from an 'add on' to looking mean!

After driving it, I just wish my 710M had power steering, power disc brakes,Diesel power and an extra axle. Otherwise my 710 is PERFECT!

That thing is so ugly, it's beautiful! I love it. Nice job on the lights, too.
