On Saturday the 712 was used as a Wedding vehicle.
Originally and initially it was only to be used as the Grooms /
Groomsman's vehicle, but later it was decided to use it as transport
for the Bride and Groom and all the bridal party from the Church to
have pictures taken, then back to the Reception.
All up a trip of around 100 km. (Total Pinny distance travelled for
the whole day .... around 270 km)
After dinner many of the men drifted outside for a drink and a chat,
so an impromptu Pinny discussion soon started up. Even the Minister
was involved!
Sunday the Pinny was off to an internal Land Rover Club event.
Around 95 vehicles of all different Series were on display for
members to look at, poke and prod and chat about.
The Pinny was one of the few non LR vehicles on display, and was put
in with the 101/ IIB Forward Controls.
Come the end of the day it ended up taking out the "Best Forward
Control" Trophy ..... something that didn't bode too well with some
of the dyed in the wool LR enthusiasts

So all up, while the Pinny didn't get a drop of mud on her all
weekend she did enhance the standing of Pinnys that little bit!
BTW .... One of the blokes at Sunday's event was an Austrian who used
to work at Steyr Puch ..... I had to lever him out of the Pinny at
the end of the day!

Peter.
