Looks like a nice AZ truck... no rust, just dust!
I noticed that the T-lo's flip-down step is bent, but it has hub steps on all four wheels.? better cargo access I guess.

Reminds me of a friend who tried to drive a Land Rover from CA to NY and broke down in KS. Apprantely he met a girl at the mechanic's shop for the 2-3 days he spent there, got married and never returned back to NY. He's been trying to get back since 1998. Now that's just plain sad..... He did strike it rich there and became a millionare in some land deals.

I always worry about long trips unless you don't mind marrying a hot blond, striking it rich and never returning back to Bronx NY.

DONT DO IT DIRTGUM!...Jersey Shores and Snooky will miss you.

ANYWAY hot blondes and millions of dollars huh? thats what you call making lemonade out of lemons huh?

im gonna tell my wife that story when we break down in the middle of the country......haha

Nice Trip....

You really got to see a LOT of the USA! This is what the Pinz is all about. Long trips , short trips, on-road or off-road, work truck or parade truck....what a cool vehicle :D

I'm glad that the trip went well (that always keeps the little woman happy) and you get to meet some really nice people.

Check out Scott's steps, not cheap but really pleased my wife 8)

If your wife appreciates some creature comforts, here are some suggestions (from my wife):

1. I put a 40MM ammo box on it's side on the passenger's floorboard. It fits perfectly with little rubber adhesive feet (stuck to it's side) to prevent vibration/sliding. At 5'5" her feet don't sit flat on the floor so the box is a nice foot rest, and storage to boot.

2. If she's prone to cold feet, a car blanket to cover her legs/feet keeps complaints to a minimum- it can get cold down in the foot well if it's cool outside.

3. Most of all, get a used portable aviation intercom (e-bay- Flightcom or other) and two head sets. With them, quiet conversation is easy and she won't get tired of the road/machine/wind noise. No ringing in the ears after a long ride. Incidence of headaches is waaay down.
We use them on any 712 highway trip. Ipod/MP3/radios and even cell phones (on some headsets) will plug right in- truely hands free. Best of all, either of you can turn up the squelch to shut the other-one out!

My road trips in the Pinz have become a close and wonderful time with my passengers since I did the intercom. I'ts fun to comment to each other on the looks and waves we get. Only change I would make would be an active noise reduction headset ($).

i have to say you are a genius!
within about 10 minutes my 5' 1" wife complained that her feet didn't touch the floor.........so we rigged up a cooler for her under her feet temporarily and she was much happier.

at night it was a little drafty for her and her legs so she got in a sleeping bag and viola! happy as a clam!

two sets of noise cancelling headphones and all was well.....thanks for the suggestions......tell your wife thank you from my wife :)!

You two are an inspiration! Was just going to take a straight shot from AZ to LA when I pick up my truck. Now I'm sold on going up to the Grand Canyon and Zion, down and over to Death Valley, up to Yosemite, and then to Oakland via Vallejo. Thanks for the reminder that life is short - eat dessert first!
