WOW  I knew the TAM would be wide, but that thing just screams "I don't like to share"

I don't envy your decision to sell the TAM, I don't think I'd be able to do it! But toys spawn toys, so I understand. Eventually, you run out of room, and room is something your 110 does not give up easily......

Very true.... unfortunately today was the day.... I put the TAM up for sale on Steel Soldiers, Pirate 4x4 and Ebay. I am looking for a quick sale, no reserve and a start price well below the high bidder from the last 2 auctions.

It is a great truck, but I have too much money tied up in toys.... Someone is going to get a very unique and capable vehicle. Wish me luck!

Can’t quite make out in the photos, which one has the greater center line clearance?

Ed, The TAM has an additional 2.5" on the Pinzgauer's clearance, but that is with the 47" tires on it....

I took the Pinzgauer out today and played in the sand and a few local hills (not very big as it is Florida...) My son loved it and the Pinzie did very well. I am enjoying it quite a bit and am planning to take it on a couple hour drive tomorrow up to St Augustine, FL. This will be my first highway excursion in it.

I want to thank everyone on the forum who have provided insight and info on my new vehicle. I would especially like to thank Edzz for taking the time to talk with me, your assistance and information went above and beyond. Semper Fi!

You can order the books for your Pinz directly from (www.motorbooks.at) , Search for pinzgauer. Use Google to translate the web site is in German. That is where I ordered my manuals for the 718. Make sure that you get the English printed books the parts manual may be in English and German. The prices are in Euro's but Google has a euro to USD converter. Took about two week to ship, the shipping cost was 30 Euro's.

I've purchased from motorbooks.at in the past and they were great to do business with. They were the only place I found that had the "transparent" Pinz poster. Lots of other interesting books as well.

At current exchange rates the 3 Pinz manuals are no less expensive (about $287.00 with shipping if Google is correct) than buying them from the Forum sponsor above. And of course buying them from Expedition Imports helps keep this forum alive :)

Happy Holidays!

Thanks for the info. I was able to get a copy the manuals from another member. I will take a look at the site to see if there anything else I like. I donated to the forum earlier as it has been a great asset for me. Merry Christmas!

We were all first timers once upon a time so bring on the questions and you'll get plenty and varied responses.

If it's a really dumb question, we'll all let you have it but good!

Just back from our first family trip with the new Pinzgauer. We went camping out in one of our State Forests that has a large OHV area. Lots of mud, sand and trails... The kids loved it and the wife was all smiles also.

The vehicle performed as expected... I was impressed, from highway speeds getting there to 20" of Florida mud, she never skipped a beat on the entire trip.

My weekend project is going to be mounting a pair of new LMTV suspension seats in the cab.

Now I have to get back to cleaning ;)

Thanks!
