To save me from reinventing the weel: how did you connect ground ? => allsorted, the spring needed some movement to give contact..
Cheers

Just connected the ground to the center terminal via a female terminal connection.

Well at long last the electric steering is working in my 712. Had some issues with getting it working but Scott was really great at trying to trouble shoot the issue over the phone (difficult to do when you can not see the unit in person). This past week I took the pinz up to Expedition Imports shop and Scott was able to diagnose the issue. He did an extraordinary job of diagnosing the issue. Scott went far and above to help get the unit working properly. In the end the majority of the issue was my steering box, which had a little flat spot in one of the gears. Fortunately for me Scott had in stock rebuild kits for the box.
The assistance I am getting from the ES is phenomenal. At max setting it is, dare I say, too easy to steer when on the road. I have to find some time and see how well it performs offroad, but I am sure that won't take too long.
If you are on the fence about ordering the unit, my vote would be get it. Make sure your steering components are in very good shape and you will be very pleased with the outcome.
