Perhaps it was a support vehicle and not a contestant. Hard to imagine anyone would look at a Pinz and would think it was only worth $500...

Just looked at the website linked on the youtube page - I guess there are two categories:

"it's a 500-mile, mostly off-road race through Oregon where everyone is driving either 1) $500-or-less beater cars, or 2) comedically awesome vehicles like fire trucks and ambulances"

Lots of prep work! NOT. The boys picked the truck up during the week, drove it to the PNW and competed that weekend. From what I understand it was a bit more of a support capacity.......

They were applying there decals before they left the shop!
