Which states have people had success registering a 710 Pinz in, and which state have people had problems?
For example, in CA 1975 and older is fine, newer is not allowed.
Others?
Specifically, I'm curious about states in the Pacific Northwest, upper Midwest, and the northeast states like NH.

I'm in Wisconsin and no problems registering but you need to be careful with brand and body style declarations.
I've registered 5 710M's here over the years.

No problem in Nevada. Besides myself I'm familiar with 2 other Pinz owners here that had no issues registering their trucks.

I know of owners in both Oregon and Washington who have had no problems.

Va was never an issue when I had my 4x4 import business there (although if its a fresh import it could be really frustrating!)
Ca. isn't a big issue but I'd argue that it needs to be well under a 1975 to avoid likely/possible major headaches. It depends on luck really.
Off the top of my head... past customers in CO, MD, TX, NY, PA, NC, FL, OR and Montana had no major issues but that's been several years ago.
