The 6x6 is no longer than a LR discovery
That's "leaning on the pencil" a little, although the Discovery is fast catching up!

An S1 Discovery is 4539 mm long.
An S2 Discovery is 4704 mm long.
An S3 Discovery is 4849 mm long.

A 712 is 4955 mm

Welcome aboard! I bought a 712M as a replacement for my winch challenge spec 90... but decided to keep both in the end! A modded 90 is probably better in a lot of UK situations (covers head and waits to be beaten up by the Pinzgauer Mafia), but out of the box I would say the 712 is a better beast - and you can't camp in the back of a 90!

Good luck!
