716 Chassis Picture

Post by Profpinz »

I wondered if anyone had an image of a 716 chassis (like the 712 and 718 that are often shown in the factory brochures etc).......but it must be a 716.

I need such a picture to clarify some engineering details (disk brakes, modular design aspects etc) and problems I'm having with the Engineering/Registration Dept here in Australia.

Thanks!
Peter

The only idea I can think of is the later newsletters that David Dunn has been posting or perhaps contacting someone like the Pinzmiester to see if he happens to have one.

Guess there is always "photoshop" to cut off the extra axle!

Unfortunately, I only remember 718 chassis photos in the sales brochures, and none in the newsletters.

Peter, if you haven't resolved this, send me a email with the exact info needed. I might have something you can use that hasn't been scanned yet.

Thanks Guys for all the input!

It's strange that there are several variations of 718 chassis images in brochures, articles, online etc but none of the 716...... one thing I will do in the near future is contact S-Tec/Magna Steyr and see if they have anything.

Ditto Nigel.....I looked through all my pamphlets, bochures, files, images etc and couldn't find a thing. Thanks for looking anyway!

I've sent an email to S-Tec so I'll just have to wait and see if they can help.

There are drawings in the SDP parts manual of similarity and differences between the 716 and 718.
These 2 drawings come to mind, and with the associated pages of the actual part numbers.
TA 137 and TA 140.

Thanks Dave, yes I have those pics in the Parts Manuals, but I needed actual images of the chassis to show to the Registration Dept Engineers real component parts.
S-Tec have been very helpful!
