Inappropriate posting ?

Post by acebee »

For the second time in about a decade.. a forum member has sold his truck to me..

not being a regular truck ( not sure when the pinz became regular to me..) hence the subject line.. this one is a little more rare than the 712m..

What i would really appreciate is if you all could recommend any good wheel fabricators..

possibly you all are curious & expect me to mention... more ?

I am reminded of "more?" in Oliver Twist ! @ 1min 5 sec past..

btw - can someone point me to the best way to submit jpeg images ?

..all this as i wonder how to leave clues.. nyaah..that's no fun..

Hey SB,

"What i would really appreciate is if you all could recommend any good wheel fabricators.."

All depends upon what your looking for here. Are you asking for where to get wider wheels
(rims) for your 712, e.g. 8" ? There may still be an option for that ala Beck in SoCal. He
was modifying the stock Pinz wheels by replacing the rims (hoops) with 8". I have no idea
how to reach him these days but Jim L might know.

Or did you whack your rim and looking to get that fixed. Wheel Techniques in Santa Clara
can fix that -- steel or aluminum wheels. They can't balance wheels/tires this large though
so you would just need to drop some balancing beads in there.

Are we guessing in the right direction here :?

Ron..Are we guessing in the right direction here.

No..a different vehicle..
As Jim L could attest ..my pinzy does have that mod

Third clue.. An old timer here on the forum holds this vehicle in high regard.

Have emailed Vince asking for how to post clue images..

There are simple plate type adapters for the MRAP beadlock military wheels available - and are easy to fabricate if a different pattern is needed. You can get rims and tires together from a number of sellers / ebay / craigslist.

Does it use 20" or larger wheels?

Presently these are 16 inch split wheels..

But otherwise same as WheelsNow # WN28860..they are leaders in wheels..

I need seven of these...

any link to adapter manufacturer or reseller as you say...is very much appreciated :(

I may be off in the weeds again on this guessing game :?

But if your looking for adapters I'd go to Motorsport Tech out of Nevada,
anything special talk to Lenny, he can do anything out of the ordinary.
