I just want to say that getting together with other Pinz owners is a good
thing. Last weekend I had the opportunity to show a new owner some of
details of maintaining a Pinz.
Here in Rustsylvania, it is rare that you find another Pinz, so when you do
find another owner it is cause for a little celebration...

Hey, I'm that guy.
Thanks to Jay I am now very confident in my abilities.
I meet Jay at the 2005 Military Truck Show in Aberdeen MD. I was not an owner then but I was in the market.
Jay gave me the low down on what to look for when buying a Pinz.
When I became an owner earlier this year I contacted Jay and he and his wife invited me down to spend the weekend at his homestead.
With Jays help I have now changed all the major fluids and filters.
Learned how to adjust the valves, that was cool, learned how to adjust the brakes and bled the clutch.
On my own I have replaced the muffler and heat shield. (That’s a whole different story.)
OK, now I know that’s small potatoes compared to what some of you guys are capable of buy hey for me that’s like building a space shuttle.
Next, I plan on replacing the taillights with a pair that Jay sold me.

Nothing says four wheel drive like six wheel drive.
taillight installation
Hope ya'll don't mind my jumping in, but regarding the taillights, how difficult is it to install the diesel-style onto a 712M? They look nearly identical to the $400 LED version that's available.
Thanks!
