Has anyone welded on accessory tow hooks to the front of there Pinz? The 716-718 series had them welded inline with the chasse in front of the front diffs. My only concern on going this route is that the sheet metal on the front cross member is only 2.5MM thick. I’m guessing the newer diesel Pinzgauers had that area reinforced. I want a place to hook my winch line to incase I want to do a double line pull. I don’t want to impose too much stress on the cross member so I want to go inline with the tube and not back up to the bumper. Anyone done something like this?
Thanks

Didn't do anything like that. I have a different bumper and added recovery points to it. Here is a pic of pumper with d rings added.

One of the guys in the RMP is using Scott at EI's bumper. Here is a pic of the hooks on the front of his. Yes he has winched with it.

To me the big operating thing is watch your off angle pulls.
